A senior-friendly community

We are working to make Cornwall more senior-friendly. By 2025, nearly 30% of our population will be over 65. The City of Cornwall is preparing for this change. In July 2015, we received a $35,000 grant from the Ontario Government's Age-Friendly Community Planning Grant Program.

We spoke with over 700 older adults in Cornwall to understand your needs. We used that feedback to create the Senior Friendly Implementation Plan that addresses what seniors need now and in the future. It includes practical recommendations to keep Cornwall safe, affordable, accessible and enjoyable for you.
