Lamoureux Park
Lamoureux Park is a large, smoke-free waterfront park in downtown Cornwall, named in honour of former Member of Parliament and House Speaker Lucien Lamoureux. Stroll along the St. Lawrence River and discover its many features, including Marina 200, the Aquatic Centre, the Civic Complex, a splash pad, the Community Museum, the Rotary Eco-Gardens and the scenic Recreational Path. You can apply for a Park Use Permit or pick up an application at the Benson Centre or Aquatic Centre.
Dogs in Lamoureux Park
You are welcome to bring your dog to Lamoureux Park. To ensure a safe and enjoyable space for everyone, please make sure that you:

Use a short leash: Keep your dog on a leash at all times, with a maximum length of 2 metres (6.5 feet)

Give space: Stay at least 9 metres (30 feet) away from fixed areas like the splash pad, playground and benches

Always clean up: You must pick up and properly dispose of your dog's waste

Maintain control: Keep your dog under your control and be mindful of other park users

Washrooms
You can find public washrooms in Lamoureux Park at two locations:

At the splash pad: Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

At the Cornwall Civic Complex: Open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For 24-hour access, you can also use the portable toilets (porta potties) placed at key spots throughout the park. We clean and maintain all facilities regularly. If you notice an issue, please report it by calling us at 613-932-5354.
