Domiciliary Program
If you are a permanent resident of the City of Cornwall who needs support with daily living due to age, disability, mental health concerns, or substance use, you may qualify for financial assistance through the Domiciliary Program. This program helps supplement your income to cover the cost of care in a domiciliary residence.
Who is Eligible
You may qualify if you are at least 18 years old and need help with daily living activities or a senior (60+), or you:

Have a physical or developmental disability

Have a diagnosed mental health condition

Are frail and/or elderly

Are not eligible for long-term care
To receive a subsidy:

Income: Your monthly income must be less than the cost of care at the chosen residence

Assets: Your total assets, including savings, must be under $40,000
Cost of care refers to the monthly amount charged by the domiciliary residence for accommodation, meals and support services.
