No. There is no lunchtime supervision. All children must go home for lunch and may return at 1:00 p.m.
Summer Playground Program
The City of Cornwall’s free Summer Playground Program provides fun, supervised play for children ages 5 to 12 at ten parks across the city. Each day is filled with games, sports, crafts, music and laughter. Join us for a summer of fun and play!

If you have an questions or need assistance with the registration process, please email recreation@cornwall.ca, spp@cornwall.ca or call the Benson Centre at 613-938-9898. You may also register your child at the park during program hours.
Program details:

Dates: Weekdays from June 30 to August 15

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Program starts at 10:00 a.m. on Monday)

Lunch Break: There is no supervision from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Please note:

Children under age 5 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times

Parents and guardians are welcome to join the activities

Registration is required and you can sign up online or with the Park Leader at the park

Are children supervised during lunch hour?
What happens during bad weather?
The program closes for heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning or when the humidex reaches 40°C. We will notify you by email. Children will be sent home right away, so they must have access to their home at all times.
Are there washrooms available?
Some locations do not have washrooms or running water available.
