Water Mains

The City of Cornwall’s Water Purification Plant provides clean, safe drinking water to our community. We maintain water mains by relining and replacing several sections during annual construction work.

Reporting a water main break

If you see signs of a broken water main like water bubbling from the street, please call us immediately at 613-932-5354.

What to expect during a repair:

• Our crews will respond quickly to fix the break.
• You may temporarily lose water service.
• We will notify affected residents by hand-delivered letters and our emergency alert system.

Your water is safe to drink during a main break unless there is a Boil Water Advisory. Only the Eastern Ontario Health Unit can issue an advisory, and we will notify you directly if one is required.
