Change of Address

To ensure your tax bill reaches you, you must inform the City of Cornwall in writing of any change to your mailing address or ownership. Not receiving a tax bill does not mean you are exempt from paying your taxes or from late penalties and interest.

Changing your address

You can submit your mailing address changes or a change in ownership in writing by:

• Drop off at the 24-hour depository box at the entrance of 360 Pitt St

A service fee of $20.00 per account for change of ownership for property tax or water accounts has been implemented.

Changing ownership

To change ownership on a property, please complete the Change of Ownership form, together with a copy of the deed or a letter from your lawyer. If you no longer own the property, please return the tax bill to the Billing and Collection Office. 

Changing your school support

You can contact the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) to change your school support designation.
