Signal Upgrades
Learn about where the City of Cornwall is upgrading traffic signals. Staying informed helps you know what to expect in your neighbourhood. The City is required by law to follow Ontario's minimum maintenance standards for traffic signals.
Upgrading traffic signal projects
This project includes upgrades to existing signals at two intersections. These upgrades will fix aging equipment and bring old signals up to current standards. This helps reduce the risk of failure. With regular maintenance, traffic signals last about 30 years before they need to be replaced.
In 2025, the City plans to upgrade the control signals at:
-
Vincent Massey Dr and Fourteenth St W
-
Augustus St and First St W
