Winter Parking

The City of Cornwall enforces winter parking restrictions to allow for safe and effective snow clearing. Parking during restricted times will result in a parking fine. Early winter parking - November 15 to December 14

From November 15 to December 14, parking on any road between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. is only prohibited when a snowfall of 5 cm or more is forecasted by Environment Canada. During this period, please monitor weather forecasts and local media. Active restrictions will be posted on the City of Cornwall website and social media.

Winter parking ban - December 15 to March 31

From December 15 to March 31, parking on any road between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. is prohibited every night, regardless of the weather forecast.

March parking - March 1 to 31

From March 1 to 31, overnight parking rules may change depending on the weather. Two possible rules will apply:

• If the full ban continues: Parking on any road between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. is prohibited every night

• If the ban is lifted: Parking on any road between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. is only prohibited when a snowfall of 5 cm or more is forecasted

During March, please monitor weather forecasts, local media and the City of Cornwall website and social media for the current, active restriction.
