Become a Firefighter

The City of Cornwall’s firefighters respond to a wide range of emergencies, including fires, search and rescue as well as ice or water rescues. Their main goal is to protect lives and minimize damage to property and the environment. Every response follows established safety guidelines and is led by experienced Officers. Firefighters also handle important behind-the-scenes tasks that keep us ready to respond, like maintaining equipment, vehicles, and the fire station.
