City of Cornwall’s introduces new Community Grant, Municipal Grants Program application opened
The City of Cornwall’s municipal grants program is open for applications until October 25.
Community organizations and volunteer groups make valuable contributions to the well-being of our community and residents’ quality of life. In recognition of these contributions, the City of Cornwall is committed to providing modest assistance through the Municipal Grants Program.
There are two types of grants are available through this program:
Program 1 – Financial and In-Kind Assistance: provides eligible financial grants and in-kind contribution grants to support specific initiatives that promote inclusiveness and a broad community benefit through improving the well-being of the community and the quality of life for its residents. The maximum amount available to any one eligible organization in any one year is $10,000 (cash, in-kind, or a combination of both).
Program 2 – Multi-Government Funding Support: provides a required municipal contribution to access funding from the federal and/or provincial government(s). The maximum amount available to any one eligible organization in any one year is $30,000.
To apply to either of the Municipal Grants program, please click here. Applications will then be reviewed by the Municipal Grants Review Committee.
Additionally, the City of Cornwall is offering a new grant — the Community Grants. It will offer financial and/or in-kind assistance for organizations where the request for assistance does not fit the eligibility requirements of the Municipal Grants Program.
This includes an initiative and/or service that directly benefits the community in a capacity that relates to the City's mission and vision, advancing the priorities of the Strategic Plan.
Community benefits may include (but are not limited to): Enhanced Quality of Life, Environmental Sustainability, Cultural Enrichment, Health and Wellness, Educational Opportunities, Inclusivity and Accessibility
Requests for the Community Grants Program are to be made at the Town Hall meeting on November 5. Please contact the City Clerk (MLevesque@cornwall.ca) to pre-register for the meeting.
The City Clerk will provide you with the template to be used for your presentation. To be included on the Town Hall Agenda, the presentation must be submitted back to the Clerk by Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
