City of Cornwall Launching Sunday Transit Service on September 27, 2026

Cornwall Transit is pleased to announce the launch of Sunday Service, beginning Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The new service will operate hourly between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., offering residents a convenient and reliable transportation option throughout the city.

Business Park service will be available on both Saturdays and Sundays, with riders encouraged to review the schedule for specific operating times. Specialized Transit service will also be available on Sundays and can be booked through the regular booking process.

“Expanding Cornwall Transit service to Sundays reflects our commitment to building a more connected, accessible, and inclusive community,” said Mayor Justin Towndale. “This investment will make it easier for residents to get to work, access essential services, and stay connected with family, friends, and local businesses throughout the week.”

Regular transit fares will be in effect on Sundays. Customers may use valid monthly bus passes, 10-ride cards, and Family Day Passes for Sunday travel. The cash fare will continue to be $3.25 per ride.

"For the first time, residents will be able to take the bus to go to church, to work, to run errands and to visit family and friends on Sundays in the City of Cornwall", said Mayor Justin Towndale. "The long-awaited implementation of Sunday Service will allow residents to get around more easily and improve quality of life and accessibly."

To ensure a smooth travel experience, riders are encouraged to check the Sunday schedule for route maps and departure times.
