City of Cornwall Announces New Hires and New Appointments
The City of Cornwall has initiated a strategic departmental restructuring aimed at strengthening service delivery, enhancing collaboration, and aligning City operations with long-term community priorities.
Several new leaders have been appointed in planning, human resources, and senior administration, bringing valuable experience to help the city achieve growth and community development goals.
“This restructuring is about building the right foundation for Cornwall’s future,” said Tim Mills, Chief Administrative Officer. “Our residents rely on us to deliver essential services while strengthening municipal relationships. That means improving fiscal responsibility, encouraging new ideas, and making thoughtful decisions that set the city up for long-term success.”
New Hires and Appointments:
- Mr. Matthew Stephenson, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer
(new appointment) – will assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, help implement strategic initiatives, and support interdepartmental leadership. Deputy CAO Stephenson will also remain as the City of Cornwall’s Fire Chief. - Mr. Bruce Donig, Interim General Manager of Human Resources
(new appointment in a vacant position)-will assist withimplementing effective people strategies, support workforce planning, and foster a positive organizational culture. - Mr. Ryan Windle, Director of Development & Building Services
(new hire in a vacant position) – will lead planning, building, and economic development, support policy updates, and guide responsible growth in the community. - Mr. Louis Savard, Director of Information Technology, Digitization, Innovation and Special Projects
(new appointment)-will assist withthe integration of new technologies, support digital transformation projects, and drive innovative solutions to enhance service delivery across all departments. - Ms. Jordan Suffel, Supervisor of Planning
(new hire in a vacant position)- will support long-range planning, infrastructure coordination, and development review.
- Ms. Marie-Josée Lambert, Manager of Human Resources
(new hire)- will support the growth of the city's workforce by enhancing talent development programs and promoting a positive organizational environment.
- Mr. Love S. Babajide, Manager of Labour and Employee Relations Programs
(new hire in a vacant position)- will support employee relations, oversee recruitment and retention strategies, and contribute to creating a supportive and effective workplace environment.
- Ms. Farhana Meghji, Equity, Belonging and Culture Specialist
(new hire in a vacant position)- will support the creation of an inclusive workplace by leading equity-focused initiatives and foster a culture where all employees feel valued and respected. This is a partnership role with Cornwall Police Services.
