Risks and impacts:
- Flooding is expected within inland rivers throughout the jurisdiction.
- Low-lying roads, farm lanes, and driveways may be susceptible to flooding.
- Residents should stay away from all watercourses due to high levels, fast-flowing water, and unstable banks.
Safety precautions residents in flood-prone areas should:
- Secure items that might float away.
- Move items from basements or lower floors.
- Ensure sump pumps and backwater valves are in good working condition.
The City of Cornwall and the RRCA will continue to monitor water levels. For real-time updates, please visit rrca.on.ca.
