Road Maintenance Scheduled for Ninth Street and Pitt Street Intersections

The Roads Department will be undertaking nighttime road maintenance operations at the Ninth Street and Marlborough Street intersection (westbound lane of Ninth Street) and at the northwest corner of the Pitt Street and Second Street intersection.

The purpose of this work is to improve roadway conditions and ensure the continued safety and reliability of the transportation network for residents and visitors.

Operations will begin tonight at 11:00 p.m. with preparatory work overnight. Asphalt paving operations are expected to commence at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026. Please note that this schedule is weather dependent.

Motorists should expect traffic delays, increased noise levels, temporary lane restrictions, and the presence of construction equipment and personnel in the work zones. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes where possible and exercise caution when travelling through these areas.
