PUBLIC NOTICE: “New” All-Way STOP

NOTICE is hereby given that The Corporation of the City of Cornwall has amended the Traffic and Parking By-Law 069-1989 to establish All-Way STOP controls at the following intersections:

1. Fourth Street E. and Adolphus Street
2. McKenzie Street and Ross Avenue
3. Mercier Avenue W. and Ross Avenue
4. St. Felix Street and Walton Street
5. Optimum Drive and SCM Way

The locations have been chosen to raise awareness to schools in the area, crossing guard location, near municipal parks and for future right-of-way needs due to future developments.

Drivers and pedestrians alike are urged to use extreme caution at this intersection as traffic and pedestrians adjust to these new stop signs.

New stop signs will be erected in the coming months, and enforcement of the All-Way STOP will commence immediately upon installation.
