NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OPA No. 11

PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:

The City of Cornwall’s Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) will hold a public meeting on October 19th, 2026, at 7 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to consider an application for a Official Plan Amendment for the lands affected. In accordance with the Planning Act, the meeting will serve as an opportunity for the public to make representations in respect of the proposed amendment and to obtain further information about the application.

LANDS AFFECTED: The subject properties are legally described as Part Lots 17 and 18, Cornwall Concession 3 in the City of Cornwall, located between Vincent Massey Drive and Tollgate Road West, east of Power Dam Drive.

OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT (OPA No. 11)

The purpose of the proposed Official Plan Amendment seeks to expand the City’s urban settlement area boundary to include a portion of the subject lands. The proposed development, which will be subject to future zoning and subdivision applications, consists of a residential subdivision containing a range of housing typologies. A total of 196 dwelling units are proposed, consisting of a mix of single-detached, semi-detached, and townhouses. The proposal also seeks to permit a mix of residential and institutional uses on the portions of the site designated for general commercial uses, fronting along Vincent Massey Drive.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment.

Written comments from the public are requested by October 12th, 2026, for consideration ahead of the meeting.
