NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT CITY OF CORNWALL APPLICATION FOR MINOR VARIANCE – FILE # A-24-26

Take notice that an application under the above file number will be heard by the Committee of Adjustment on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, at 05:00 p.m. at Council Chambers at City Hall, 360 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario K6J 4P6. 

The purpose of the meeting is to consider an application for a minor variance from the provisions of the City of Cornwall Signs By-law No. 057-1982 as amended, for the lands legally described as ​​Part Lot 72, Lot 73, Plan 147​​, municipally known as 1225 Brookdale Avenue. 

The proponent is seeking relief from the Signs By-law No. 057-1982 for the following: 

1. Schedule B, Fascia Signs: To permit fascia signs to cover 31% of the building face whereas the Signs By-law permits a maximum of 15%.  

The requested variance is to accommodate two new fascia signs for a new tenant (Popeyes Supplements).
