Massey Commons Risk Assessment Study Findings Presented
Council was briefed on findings in the Massey Commons Housing Project Risk Assessment Study. James Strickland, on behalf of the security supplier GardaWorld, provided several recommendations to Housing Services. The risk management audit was completed in response to community feedback.
Updated Cybersecurity Policy Approved
Council has approved an endorsed the updated Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Policy, which will have new employees being enrolled in a 90-minute new user cyber security training program consisting of multiple modules when their account is created. Refresher training will also be provided once a month to all active users.
Heart of the City Approvals
Council approved three Heart of the City Community Improvement Plan (CIP) applications, supporting local property owners looking to redevelop their properties. Funding in the amount of $1,308 as an interest free loan was approved for Christine and Marc Champagne at 213-217 Pitt Street; $6,000 as an interest free loan for Dr. Good Flow Inc. at 612 Montreal Road; a grant of $1,250 for Chirstos and Antonios Fourkiotis at 101-105 Montreal Road.
