Community Invited to Orange Shirt Day Event on September 30 at Lamoureux Park

She:kon, Hello, Bonjour!

Please Save the Date for this year’s Orange Shirt Day event, taking place on Wednesday, September 30, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. at Lamoureux Park in Cornwall.

This event is an opportunity to recognize the experiences of Survivors of the residential school system, honour the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the ongoing impacts of residential schools on Indigenous Peoples, families and communities.

This event is free and open to everyone.

Free Transportation

Cornwall Transit will be providing free bus transportation to and from the event.

Orange Shirts

Orange shirts are available for sale at the Benson Centre, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Akwesasne Freedom School, a Kanien'kéha language and culture immersion school in Akwesasne.

Everyone is welcome. We invite everyone in our community to show up, learn, and participate. A detailed agenda and additional event information will be shared closer to the date.
