City of Cornwall’s Overnight Warming Centre Now Open 7 Days a Week

The City of Cornwall is announcing that its Overnight Warming Centre is now open to the public seven days a week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, effective immediately. The Centre will operate nightly, regardless of temperature, until March 31, 2026.

This is the second year the City has supported a warming centre, recognizing the ongoing need for a safe and warm space during the winter months. The City is pleased to partner with the Agape Centre, which graciously agreed to host the Overnight Warming Centre at their location for a second year in a row. The City wishes to extend sincere thanks to the Agape Centre for being a great partner in this initiative.

The Overnight Warming Centre is available to anyone in need of shelter overnight, with priority given to those on the By-Names list or residing in encampments. No one should have to face cold winter nights without a safe place to go, and the City is committed to ensuring community members have access to this essential service.
