City of Cornwall Appoints Tracey Beauregard as Interim City Clerk

The City of Cornwall is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey Beauregard as Interim City Clerk, effective July 28, 2026.

Born and raised in Cornwall, Ms. Beauregard brings more than two decades of non-profit leadership experience to the role, including 22 years with the Ontario Trillium Foundation, where she served as Director, Community Investments.

Throughout her career, Ms. Beauregard has developed extensive expertise in governance and administration, with a proven ability to support organizational priorities, foster collaboration, and improve processes.

As Interim City Clerk, Ms. Beauregard will oversee the statutory responsibilities of the Clerk’s Office and support transparent, accountable, and effective municipal governance.

“I am honoured to step into the role of Interim City Clerk and continue serving the Cornwall community,” said Ms. Beauregard. “I look forward to working with Council, staff, and residents to support strong governance, responsive service, and a smooth transition for the Clerk’s Office.”

“Tracey brings strong administrative experience, sound judgment, and a clear commitment to public service,” said Katharine Price-Raas, General Manager of Human Resources. “Her knowledge of governance and community-focused approach will be an asset as she supports the important work of the Clerk’s Office during this interim period.”

The City also extends its sincere thanks to Denise Labelle-Gelinas, who has served as Interim City Clerk over the last several months. Ms. Labelle-Gelinas has now shifted her focus to supporting preparations for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections.
