Canada Day 2026: Municipal Service Schedule

The City of Cornwall is advising residents of the following service adjustments for Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Facility Closures

City offices, the Public Library, the Aquatic Centre, the Civic Complex, and the Benson Centre will be closed.

Waste and Recycling

Weekly curbside collection will be delayed by one day for all residents. Please adjust your set out schedules accordingly.

Transit Updates

Cornwall Transit will not be operating on Canada Day and the administrative office will be closed. We are offering free shuttle service to the festivities at Lamoureux Park. Click here for full schedule and route information.

Recreation

All five outdoor pools will be open for public swimming from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, weather permitting.
