Rent Supplement Program

The Rent Supplement program provides a rent subsidy paid directly to your landlord to help with your rent in the City of Cornwall. You may qualify for this support for up to five years, depending on program funding and your continued eligibility.

Who Is Eligible

You may qualify if:

• You have less than $50,000 in savings and assets

• Your household income is below the Household Income Limit (HIL)

• Your current rent is below the local average market rent

Household Income Limits

• 1 Bedroom: $46,000

• 2 Bedrooms: $52,500

• 3 Bedrooms: $56,000

• 4 Bedrooms: $65,000

These limits are updated periodically.
