Looking for a place to volunteer for the summer? Do you enjoy spending your days outside and being with kids? Then the Summer Playground Program is the perfect volunteering opportunity for you!

As a volunteer, you will be required to take part in a training session (max. 2 hours) before commencing your hours on the park. This session will ensure that you will understand your responsibilities as a volunteer. Once your training has been completed, you will be assigned to a park location based on your application form.

This will be done by:

  • Showing up to your park regularly and on time
  • Making sure to follow the programs
  • Being patient with everyone

Some of your duties will include:

  • Setting up activities and crafts
  • Assisting with supervision of the children on the park
  • Providing positive goals and encouraging achievements
  • Creating a safe and positive environment
