Come out and skate for enjoyment, or work on your skills! Ice skating is a favourite Canadian pastime and the City of Cornwall offers a variety of public skate sessions for all ages.
PLEASE NOTE: All public ice sessions conclude with a 10‑minute period dedicated to Zamboni operations and ice resurfacing. During this time, all skaters must exit the ice to allow staff to complete resurfacing safely and efficiently.
In addition to public skating, residents can also take advantage of the outdoor rinks that are established in the community (weather permitting). Find our list of outdoor rinks.

| Sensory Aware Skate |
|
We’re excited to offer a dedicated skate designed for families with participants who have physical or developmental disabilities and may find our regular public/family skates overwhelming.
To create a calmer, more comfortable experience, this session will feature: • Dimmed lighting • Quieter change rooms to support smoother transitions • A maximum of 20 participants on the ice • Wheelchairs welcome on the ice • Skate aids available for anyone who needs extra support
This slower‑paced, sensory‑aware environment helps make skating more accessible and enjoyable for everyone — including those who use mobility devices. Free admission for support workers.
