Some washrooms are open:

  • Lamoureux Park Splash Pad, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Guindon Park Boat Launch, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Guindon Park Picnic Area, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Optimist Park, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 Splash Pad Re-Opening Guidelines

The splash pads are located at Lamoureux Park, St. Theresa Park, and Riverdale Park. They are open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Here’s What You Can Expect

  • Splash pads will be fenced to limit group sizes to 10 at a time.
  • Staff will enforce group size limits, and will ask screening questions before residents can enter the splash pad.
  • Groups of 10 will rotate through the splash pad, which will run for four minutes at a time.
  • Staff will provide hand sanitizer and will sanitize touch points in the splash pad regularly.

Here’s How You Can Prepare

  • Social distancing is required at the splash pad: please maintain a distance of 2 metres from other residents.
  • Wear your splash pad attire (bathing suit, etc), to the park. Washrooms are open but are not to be used as change rooms.
  • Stay home if you are feeling sick.
  • Participants must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian of at least 12 years of age and who is responsible for their direct supervision by ensuring physical distancing with other participants who are not part of their direct household. 
 Safety Precautions for Recreation Facilities
The health and safety of residents remains the City of Cornwall’s top priority. Please remember…
  1. Residents should only access recreational facilities with other members of their household.
  2. Residents should maintain a safe distance of 2 metres between yourself and other residents at all times.
  3. Residents can wear a mask if maintaining 2 metres distance is a challenge.
  4. Residents should wash their hands before and after coming into contact with commonly touched surfaces like hand rails and gates. Residents should bring hand sanitizer with them.
  5. Residents who are ill, who have COVID-19 symptoms, or who have been advised to self-isolate should not use public spaces.
 Tennis & Pickleball Court Etiquette

Please follow these etiquette guidelines to ensure safe play for everyone.

  • Singles play is recommended, doubles matches at sports courts are not permitted unless participants are from the same household.
  • Play is based on a first come, first serve basis.  No court reservations are permitted.
  • Limit your playing time to one hour when other groups are waiting.
  • Singles play recommended.
  • Please pick up after yourself and use trash bins.
  • Courts may be limited to allow for proper social distancing to remain. 

Pickleball Court Locations:

  • Broadview Park (499 Henry Street) - Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Terry Fox Park (304 Mercier Avenue West) - Tuesdays and Thursdays

Pickleball courts are available for play at Broadview Park and Terry Fox Park. Dedicated pickleball court time is available on Monday and Wednesdays at Broadview Park, while Terry Fox hosts pickleball first on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Use of the courts is on a first come, first play basis.
