Downhill Ski/Snowboard

Learn or re-learn your ski and snowboard skills at Big Ben Ski Centre! The hill is open December to March. Find it off Seventh Street West, across from the Benson Centre.

Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday (Ladies Night) and Friday 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Big Ben provides a wire cable lift with tow handle, snowmaking and grooming, a terrain park, night skiing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, a heated chalet, change trailer, washrooms and a snack bar.

Lessons are available for children aged 4 and up. Book 24 hours ahead of time to enjoy inexpensive lessons taught by experienced, friendly instructors.

Outdoor Rinks

Enjoy volunteer- run outdoor rinks in Cornwall! They are open in the winter, depending on weather conditions. Volunteers play an essential role in opening and maintaining outdoor rinks.

Rink hours during the winter season are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Optimist and King George Park feature lights, which are on from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly

Washrooms are open at Optimist Park from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m..

Winter Trails

Drive to the western boundary of the City of Cornwall for a forested winter oasis in Guindon Park, with trails for every interest:

  • snowshoeing,
  • cross-country skiing,
  • fat biking, and
  • walking.

Please use designated trails - respect groomed tracks for cross-country skiing!

Washrooms are located at the end of Floral Drive and are open daily from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (weather permitting). A porta potty has also been installed at the east parking lot for the convenience of trail users. Washrooms are maintained and cleaned regularly however, if you have any concerns please contact 613-932-5354.

Parking is free and plentiful!
