| Cornwall Gives-a-Shirt Spring Collection |

The City of Cornwall, throughout the whole week, will be hosting a community-wide textile collection called Cornwall Gives A Shirt — Spring edition! Set out bags of gently used clothing, linens, and footwear on your regular collection day during the week the week of April 7-11, 2025 Be sure to mark these bags with a large and clear sign marked with "Cornwall Gives A Shirt." If you missed your collection date, or have additional items to add to the program you can also bring donations to the City of Cornwall’s Eco Day at Civic Complex on April 12th. For the Spring collection, residents should donate summer and spring items which will prevent our partners like New for You (Agape), Salvation Army and Serendipity Boutique from holding onto fall or winter clothing. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to donate those items in the Fall during our 8th Annual Cornwall Gives a Shirt Fall collection. To get an "I Give A Shirt" sign, download the JPEG below. |
| Sustainable Building Workshop: Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Solution (Wednesday April 9) |

April 9, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Location: Civic Complex, Salon A Environmental Services is partnering with the River Institute for a workshop on energy efficient and low carbon retrofits and new builds. A panel of sustainable builders and energy experts from Eastern Ontario and Akwesasne will present on building history, advancements, code changes, design, airtightness, energy auditing and modeling. Breakout groups will allow for more intimate discussions where participants can ask questions and share ideas and experiences. The presentations will be streamed live on the River Institute’s social media for those who cannot attend in person.
This workshop is for anyone looking to build new or retrofit sustainably and for anyone with general interest in energy efficiency, and low carbon homes.

| Seed Bomb Workshop (Thursday April 10) |

April 10, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Cornwall Public Library (Room 1 & 2) Kristen from Radical Roots will provide an overview of native gardening benefits and guide participants in a hands-on activity. Afterward, participants can take home their seed bombs to plan in their own gardens. Register through the Cornwall Library here. |
| Free Pollinator Garden Workshop (Friday, April 11) |

April 11, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Cornwall's Youth for Climate Action Working Group is offering a FREE interactive workshop for youth. In this workshop participants will learn about biodiversity and the importance of pollinator plants. Get hands-on experience and take home a seed bomb kit.
