Part Time Recreologist

The City of Cornwall is seeking Recreologists at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge who will establish comprehensive activities and recreation service that is designed to provide both therapeutic and supportive approaches to Resident/Client care in the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual area.   The Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge is looking for an individual with experience in a geriatric setting and long-term care facility. Dementia care courses including Overview of Dementia Care, Communication Strategies and Enhanced Care Strategies, Smart Serve Certificate and Food Safety Certificate would be considered assets. We are looking for an understanding individual who has the utmost respect for the aged. This individual needs to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be team oriented and compassionate.   The successful candidate must have a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university.

The City of Cornwall offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.42 per hour.
