Project and Asset Management Coordinator

The City of Cornwall is seeking a Project & Asset Management Coordinator for our Social Services and Housing department. Reporting to the Program Supervisor of Housing, the Project & Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for providing quality & quantity assurance duties during the construction of capital projects. Additionally, they shall be responsible for Asset Management Plans (AMP) for all social housing buildings, as well as oversee the implementation of recommendations within the Housing Revitalization Plan.  This includes but is not limited to working with local governments to ensure shovel readiness of vacant lands for the use of social/affordable housing and working with Social Housing Boards of Directors, to review current portfolio and investigate regeneration opportunities, especially as End of Operating agreements approach.

The position will also be required to complete Request for Proposals (RFPs) for new design and construction and any surveys required and oversee these initiatives, as well as apply for any/all funding opportunities.

Our candidates much possess a diploma or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management or business or certification as a Project Management Professional; Project management experience in large or complex projects; Have the skills administer and oversee construction of affordable housing projects with a working knowledge of applicable legislation; Relevant experience in contract and asset management; Understanding of all relevant asset management legislation and regulations; Competency with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Class G Driver’s License.

The City offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $33.99 per hour for a 35 hour work week plus a comprehensive benefits package.
