Municipal Works Analyst

The Corporation of the City of Cornwall is recruiting for a Municipal Works Analyst for the Infrastructure and Municipal Works Department. The position is responsible for the balancing, recording and submission of the Municipal Works (MW) Division’s payroll, petty cash, invoicing and credit card reconciliation; assisting/replacing the MW dispatcher as required; ensuring compliance with financial policies and conducting other related clerical duties.  This position will also maintain and adapt several spreadsheet and engineering databases including but not limited to cross connection control program, asset management programs, fleet preventative maintenance program, geospatial software systems, complaints management system, and will have a role in the development of long range infrastructure rehabilitation and reconstruction planning.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications: Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Civil Technology/Technician or a related field of study; a minimum of 3 years recent related experience; demonstrated ability to provide administrative/clerical support using software applications including but not limited to:  MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Lotus Notes; demonstrated ability of effective judgment, initiative and independent action.

The City of Cornwall offers a competitive wage starting at $27.15 per hour, 35 hours per week. The City also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
