Temporary Maintenance Person - Recreation

 The City is seeking a temporary Maintenance Person to work varying shifts with the Planning, Development & Recreation department. This would include working in our facilities division, which assists in maintenance at the Civic Complex, Benson Centre and outdoor pools. Some of the responsibilities of the role include:

• performing set up and tear downs for events held within the different facilities.
• Ice resurfacing.
• janitorial work on a regular basis.
• works varying shifts that includes evening, nights, and weekends.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in trades associated with facility maintenance that would include light renovations, HVAC work, ice making equipment and outdoor pool filtration equipment.
• Some experience in janitorial, floor maintenance and sanitization.

The City offers a sector competitive hourly rate of $24.80.
