HVAC Mechanic

The City of Cornwall is seeking a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic for the Department of Planning, Development and Recreation in the Public Properties section. The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Mechanic will service, perform repairs, test and perform preventative maintenance on existing commercial and residential HVAC equipment.  

Candidates must be a licensed Refrigeration and Air Conditions Systems Mechanic 313A according to the Ontario College of Trades. The successful candidate must have a minimum of five years experience; The candidate must possess a valid unrestricted MTO class “D” drivers license with a “Z” endorsement, or equivalent.

If you do not have your class "D" drivers license with a "Z" endorsement but are willing to obtain one within six months as a condition of employment we will accept your application. 

The City of Cornwall offers a competitive starting wage of $30.43 hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Note: A copy of your D, “Z” driver’s license, Drivers abstract, Resume, and Criminal Record Check (or proof of CPIC Request) and proof of qualification for 313A must be provided at time of application with your resume.
