Facilities Maintenance

Number of positions: 1

All students must be full time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in fall of 2020.

Students must meet the basic requirements of the position. Should you be offered the position, with the City of Cornwall, you will be required to submit verification of school status.

Hours: 25-40 hours per week


  • Be available to work rotating shifts;
  • Perform various tasks at Recreation facilities, such as painting, cleaning, grounds work, Tennis Court preparation, and Splash pad preparation
  • Understand and abide by all Ontario Health & Safety policies and procedures, as well as enforce safety at all facilities;
  • Ability to work efficiently and responsibly with minimum supervision.
  • To be a representative of the City of Cornwall and maintain outstanding public relations skills and professional image at all times;
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications: (documentation to be provided at time of application unless indicated not required)

  • Secondary or Post Secondary full time student;
  • Class G Drivers License:
  • Drivers Abstract;
  • Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check), at the candidate's own expense
