Food Service Worker (Dietary Aide) Part Time

The Glen Stor Dun Lodge is seeking a passionate, customer service oriented Dietary Aide who will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and food service programs while ensuring all work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to established safety practices at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge.
Main responsibilities include providing meal service to residents according to individual diets and preferences, maintaining a sanitary, clean working environment, ensuring sufficient supplies are readily available by taking inventory and restocking; assisting in preparing dining room for meals including a variety of cleaning duties; loading and operating dishwasher, cleaning pots, pans, and utensils as per procedure; the ideal candidate will have received both doses of the Covid 19 vaccine and adhering to established departmental policies and procedures regarding quality assurance and infection control.
Applicants are required to have successfully completed the Food Service Worker Program, have their Certification of Food Handlers Safety Training by Public. Proof of both certifications must be provided at time of application. Must have a minimum of one year of dietary experience working in Long term care facility or in health care, excellent communication skills and be able to do moderate to heavy lifting.
This position has a varied schedule of 16 hours per week.
The City of Cornwall offers a competitive wage of $22.27 per hour.
