Deputy Chief, Fire Services

The City seeks an accomplished leader to serve as the Deputy Chief for its Fire Services, who will continue to champion organizational best practices and inspire teams as the City of Cornwall grows and prospers; specifically as it relates to the fire suppression, fire prevention, and training within the Fire Services Department.

Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief will provide progressive leadership, continuous improvement activities and strategic direction to the Cornwall Fire Service, which employs 64 members. With a demonstrated background in building teamwork and cohesion within all levels of the Fire Service, you will instill a cohesive and prepared response capability, and manage appropriate capital budgets for the division. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the department to ensure it meets performance standards within the local community.
