School Crossing Guards

 The City of Cornwall is a progressive community of 47,000 situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Eastern Ontario.  Cornwall boasts a modern economy led by forward thinkers and offers an extensive array of urban amenities making it an excellent place to build a career and raise a family. 

The Corporation of the City of Cornwall is seeking Part-Time/Casual School Crossing Guards for the coming school year. Crossing Guards are responsible for preserving the safety of school children on their way to and from school.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; have excellent communication skills with the public; able to work independently without direct supervision; able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; able to work outdoors during all weather conditions; and have access to transportation as you could be placed at different areas within the City of Cornwall. Applicants must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19, this means (2) two doses of the Covid 19 vaccine.

Applicants must complete a vulnerable sector background check prior to employment.

The City of Cornwall offers an hourly rate of $18.00 per hour.
