The Glen Stor Dun Lodge is seeking a passionate part time Chef (16 hours per week) to prepare and provide nutritional meals to the residents and visitors at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge. This includes entrée, soup, baking and salad production from standardized recipes. Our Chefs would be responsible for infection control and sanitation, understanding cost effective food production and the use of food production equipment, including menu technology systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Culinary Management Diploma or Certificate, red seal is preferred
- A minimum of three (3) year's experience in Quantity Food production as a cook
- Experience in use of standardized recipes, infection control and sanitation
- Cost effective food production, receiving and storage experience
- Experience in a volume food preparation environment in health care
- Knowledge of therapeutic diet and modified textures
- Able to lift 50 pounds and able to stand and work long hours in a facility with hot cooking equipment.
- Must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations
- Bilingualism will be considered an asset
The City of Cornwall offers a sector competitive wage of $23.28 per hour.
