Bilingual Case Manager

The Corporation of the City of Cornwall requires a bilingual Case Manager for Social & Housing Services department. Our Case Managers provide support and referrals to clients seeking assistance from Ontario Works, Social Housing, and Child Care Services. This position entails obtaining and verifying information pertaining to eligibility and ensuring programs and services are delivered in accordance with Provincial and Municipal Standards.

Our ideal candidate must possess post-Secondary Education in a related field; a minimum of two years experience working with Social Services Programs or a community related agency, experience with document and file management; experience being an advocate for clients; strong computer skills and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, attention to detail, decision making and organizational skills. As there is a possibility to meet client’s offsite, our candidate must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted driver’s license. With Cornwall's rich history in both official languages, our candidate must be bilingual (French & English).

The City offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $32.73 per hour for a 35 hour work week plus a comprehensive benefits package.
