Application forms will be made available online and shared with local high school counseling departments in May of each year. Each school will be asked to submit the applications of one male and one female candidate who best meet the selection criteria.

In the event that there are surplus annual funds, additional scholarships will be made available.

The annual awards will be presented at a City of Cornwall Council meeting in late June or July. Successful candidates will be awarded a $1,500 bursary and commemorative plaque by the Mayor. All nominees will receive letters of recognition from the Mayor.

All funds for the Ontario Winter Games Legacy Fund will be administered by the Finance Department, under the advisement of the Selection Committee.  Fifty percent (50%) of the award will be given to the successful candidates upon receipt of proof of registration in the Fall semester and again in the Winter semester.
