The City seeks an accomplished leader to serve as the Administrator of Social & Housing Services who will be a champion of organizational development to institute best practices and exceptional service as it relates to Ontario Works, Child Care and Social Housing.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Office, the Administrator will provide progressive leadership, implement continuous improvement activities and strategic direction to the departments of Social Housing, Ontario Works and Child Care.  With a demonstrated background in building teamwork and cohesion within all departments, you will also administer various legislation and regulations at Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels of program areas that you would provide leadership for. 

As an ideal candidate, you will be a role model for the City of Cornwall values of leadership, integrity, collaboration, inclusiveness, and diversity.  Your seven or more years of progressive leadership experience is also coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and or equivalent education and experience in a related field.   Rounding out your experience, will be your exceptional communication and decision making skills along with a proven track record in developing others.  With Cornwall’s rich history in both official languages, bilingualism will be considered an asset.
