Landfill Life Expectancy Extended to 2047
On November 10, Council learned that recent waste management measures, such as the clear bag policy, green bin program, and biosolids diversion, have extended the landfill’s expected life from 2041 to 2047. The Infrastructure Services report highlighted that these initiatives, adopted in 2025, significantly improved waste diversion.
