AllAboutBirds falcon photoThe City of Cornwall needs the public’s help to locate a Merlin falcon nest.
At this time, a contracted falconer has been unable to locate the birds that aggressively defended their nest near McConnell Avenue and Ninth Street East last year.
Currently, the falcons do not present a danger to the public as they are nesting. It is only when the young leave the nest that their parents become aggressive.

park mapBeginning Saturday, May 18, boat trailers at the Lamoureux Park boat launch will be required to pay for parking.
Boat trailers and the vehicles towing them must park in designated boat trailer areas.
Cars will not be required to pay for parking, and must not park in boat trailer areas.
A pay-by-plate machine has been installed. Daily parking passes cost $10. Credit cards and cash are accepted, debit cards are not.

complex webThe Civic Complex has reopened after a power failure.
The Aquatic Centre is expected to reopen on Wednesday, May 15.
On Friday afternoon, Cornwall Fire Services responded to a transformer failure at the Civic Complex. That building and the Aquatic Centre were evacuated due to the loss of power.
While the transformer is being repaired, power is being supplied to the facilities through a generator.
