Half load restrictions across Cornwall and SDG will be lifted effective 12:01 AM, Friday, May 2nd.
With the restrictions lifted, haulers can now carry full loads in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act.
The reduced load limits are necessary in order to preserve the integrity of certain roads during the spring thaw period.

Yesterday, Cornwall Fire Services responded to a fire in a washroom at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Firefighters promptly responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire, though extensive smoke spread was observed throughout the building.
