Splash Pads Open Monday, June 15

Posted On Friday June 12, 2020

The City of Cornwall’s three splash pads are re-opening on June 15 with new regulations to ensure the health and safety of residents.

The splash pads are located at Lamoureux Park, St. Theresa Park, and Riverdale Park. They will be open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Here’s What You Can Expect

  • Splash pads will be fenced to limit group sizes to 10 at a time.
  • Groups of 10 will rotate through the splash pad, which will run for four minutes at a time.

Here’s How You Can Prepare

  • Social distancing is required at the splash pad: please maintain a distance of 2 metres from other residents.
  • Wear your splash pad attire (bathing suit, etc), to the park. Washrooms are open but are not to be used as change rooms.
  • Stay home if you are feeling sick.
  • Participants must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian of at least 12 years of age and who is responsible for their direct supervision by ensuring physical distancing with other participants who are not part of their direct household.

Outdoor Pools

The City of Cornwall is reviewing the information provided by the Province of Ontario. The City will provide clarity about opening dates for outdoor pools and other facilities once a plan has been finalized with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.
