As the City of Cornwall continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, additional precautions are being taken on Cornwall Transit buses.

Passengers are encouraged to travel only when necessary. Essential trips include travel to the grocery store, pharmacy, or health appointments.

The seats directly behind transit operators will no longer be accessible. This practice will ensure transit riders exercise safe social distancing between the operator and passengers.

Passengers are encouraged to board by the rear door of the bus only. Passengers in wheelchairs, with strollers, or with limited mobility can board by the front of the bus.

Additionally, hand sanitizer is available on all buses, and staff have increased their sanitizing practices on all buses.

The City of Cornwall and Cornwall Transit thank riders for their cooperation as the municipality acts out of an abundance of caution. Other measures may be incorporated as the situation evolves.
