Notice of Passing of the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law
For The Corporation of the City of Cornwall

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Cornwall passed By-law No. 2022-001 on the January 10, 2022, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, RSO 1990, as amended.

The purpose and effect of By-law No. 2022-001 is to enact the City of Cornwall Comprehensive Zoning By-law, to regulate the use of land, and the character, location, and use of buildings and structures in the City. By-law No. 2022-001 replaces all previous Zoning By-laws of the City.

The subject lands include all lands located within the City of Cornwall municipal boundary. Accordingly, no key map is provided.

• No lands in the City of Cornwall are subject to any related applications under the Planning Act.

Effect of Written and Oral Submissions Received: Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

Take notice that any person or public body may appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of Cornwall to the Ontario Land Tribunal by filing with the Clerk of the City of Cornwall, no later than February 4, 2022, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the decision and the reasons in support of the objection accompanied by the Ontario Land Tribunal forms and fee of $400.00 for an appeal to the proposed Zoning By-law amendment, payable to the Minister of Finance. Take notice that only individuals, corporations, and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of the appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or group on its behalf.

And take notice that no person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
