NOTICE OF MEETING
REVIEW OF ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
UNDER SECTION 34 OF THE PLANNING ACT  

PUBLIC MEETING DATE:
Monday, September 21st, 2020 at 7 p.m.
Salon B, Cornwall Civic Complex (Lower Concourse)
100 Water Street East, Cornwall, ON., K6H 5T9

Application for consideration of an amendment to the City of Cornwall Comprehensive Zoning By-law as amended, as described herein this Notice.

SUBJECT:   The City of Cornwall Planning Advisory and Hearing Committee (PAC) will hold a Public meeting on Monday, September 21st, 2020 at 7 p.m., in Salon B of the Cornwall Civic Complex (Lower Concourse). The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following Zoning By-law amendment.

PROPOSED  ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT:

An application to rezone lands situated at 822 Marlborough Street from Residential 20 (RES 20) to Residential 40 (RES 40).  This site-specific Rezoning is in support of a new Multi-Residential Development on the lands located at 822 Marlborough StreetThe subject property is located on the former St. Matthew’s School site, legally described as Part of Lots 1 and 2, North Side of Eighth Street, Part of Lots 1 and 2, South Side of Ninth Street; as shown on Part 1, Plan 52R-7131.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING MEASURES WILL BE IN PLACE THROUGHOUT THE MEETING.  ATTENDEES SHOULD SANITIZE THEIR HANDS UPON ARRIVAL AND WEAR A MASK IF POSSIBLE.  RESIDENTS WHO ARE FEELING SICK SHOULD STAY HOME AND SUBMIT THEIR COMMENTS IN WRITING.

Additional information regarding the proposed subject amendment is available to the public for inspection at the office of the Planning Division, 100 Water Street East, 2nd Floor, Cornwall Civic Complex, during regular office hours.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) in respect of the proposed subject amendment before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the proposed subject amendment, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Cornwall’s PAC to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) unless, in the opinion of the LPAT, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
