The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has approved the City’s re-opening plan for the Aquatic Centre, which includes the following restrictions:

  1. Physical distancing is required inside and outside the pool, with household members excepted,
  2. Swimmers must use the designated entrance and exit to the pool area,
  3. Swimmers will be asked screening questions upon their arrival at the pool,
  4. Swimmers must shower before entering the pool and sanitize their hands,
  5. Swimmers will be limited to 25 in the pool, and
  6. Residents who are sick must stay home and not use public facilities.

Please also note that…

  • Swimmers will have limited access to equipment, which will be sanitized after each use.
  • The diving board is not available.
  • Admission policies (click here) must be followed.
  • No swimming lessons will be offered at this time.
Face coverings are required in indoor public spaces:
  1. Wear a mask as you enter the building and while you're in the change room.
  2. Keep your mask on as you enter the pool area.
  3. Take your mask off when you're ready to enter the pool - you may wish to bring a labelled bag with you, in which you can place your mask.
  4. Put your mask back on when you leave the pool.

The Aquatic Centre will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.

Most annual maintenance took place during the COVID-19 closure, which will allow the Aquatic Centre to remain open through September.
