New manager of Social and Housing Services

The City of Cornwall is pleased to announce the hiring of Mellissa Morgan as the new Manager of Social and Housing Services.

“Over the past several years Mellissa has made significant contributions to the Social and Housing Services Department with proven leadership capabilities,” said Maureen Adams, CAO of the City of Cornwall.  “The City’s senior management team welcomes Mellissa in her new role as we continue to deliver these critical programs and services to the residents of Cornwall and the Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.”

Morgan started working for the City in 1994 with the Social Services Department.  She has taken on many roles within the Department including Case Manager, Family Support Worker and Supervisor within the Ontario Works Division.  In 2015, Mellissa transitioned to the Social Housing Division as a Program Supervisor.

“I am very excited about this new phase in my career and am looking forward to taking on new challenges,” said Morgan.

Mellissa Morgan has been the Acting Manager of Social and Housing Services since June 18 and her permanent position is effective immediately.

Social and Housing Services delivers programs and services to residents of the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry, including Social Housing, Ontario Works, and Child Care.
